Ettore

(2009) This is part of the soundtrack I wrote for a little video I made as tribute of my friend Ettore Guatelli.

Mouse

Mouse is a piece played with a computer mouse on the right hand, and the left hand on the timber synthesis controllers and filters. Once the algorithm is given, the degrees of freedom left to the executor are four: the two mouse keys, and the 2D space movement of the mouse. Of course the executor has a space map of its mouse on the computer screen. This results in a sort of drawing while playing or vice versa. The concept of a map between sound and visual art is not new, but I enjoyed not only to compose and play this music but also to program the computer with the great contemporary composer and teacher Maestro Aldo Bertone who had the idea of the algorithm.

The video has been added years later, and it’s a collection of experiments I played with years ago, in the same way I played with the program.

Waltz for Quiro

Waltz for Quiro is a short piano piece. A tribute to my father in 3/4.

Stille Jazz Nacht

Known also as Silent Night, it is a short cover I wrote leaving the original melody but changing the harmony and time.
